An Answer That Changed Everything

For as many times as I have read the Bible, I never “saw” this. For a moment my heart stopped, could this be a huge answer to prayer? The Scripture almost jumped off the page to me. It’s a promise that says that if I commit my works to him, he will order my thoughts???

This might be one of the most powerful Scriptures in the Bible for anyone discouraged in their works for the Lord:

“Commit your works to the Lord,
and your thoughts will be established.”
Proverbs 16:3

Right then and there I began to pray this every day, “Yahweh Father God, I commit to you all the work I do in my online ministry. Let, therefore, my thoughts be established, according to your Word.”

Well ….

Over the next days and weeks I found my outlook, my perspective, changing. I suddenly lost interest in the world. I could hardly believe it. I was simply no longer interested in what’s going on in the world. Instead, I “received” in my spirit a knowing that life is ALL about Jesus.

When Jesus walked the shores of Galilee he simply did not get involved in what was going on in the world. He could have, because the world at that time was governed by the Roman Empire which was evil to the core. But he just didn’t. He preached the Kingdom of God and nothing else. And I “saw” that so clearly that it couldn’t be missed.

The result of this change in my heart is total peace, no matter what is going on in the world. No more do I delve deeply into the affairs of men, I just have no more interest in it.

Earlier in my walk with the Lord I came to love what he loves and hate what he hates. And now, this was the icing on the cake as I saw my heart totally won to Jesus Christ and the gospel of his kingdom.
